2 Day Course
This course provides the core knowledge a software engineer needs to successfully control CD and DVD drives. The course starts with a technology overview as it impacts the software design, and then focuses on the commands, the data formats, and how to program and control the drives. CD-ROMs, CD-Recordables, DVD-ROMs, and DVD-Recordables are all covered, as well as the differences between the various recordable technologies. To promote an even more thorough understanding, each major concept is also demonstrated, command by command, on actual hardware in the class.
Students who have taken KnowledgeTek's DVD Technology course will still find this class valuable as only about 30% of the course material is common to both classes.
