2 Day Course
After an introduction outlining the highlights of optical storage up to DVD and beyond, this class goes into depth exploring the myriad of CD formats, types, and operations. Participants will leave with a solid understanding of how this exciting technology functions – from how the dash is stored on the disk, how the CD-ROM drive recovers that data, through the various standard formats used in organizing the data, to the computer interfaces, and commands, used to access the data and control the drive. The class also covers the recordable versions of the CD technology: CD-R, and CD-RW.
