4 ½ Day Course
This course offers the most in-depth and thorough understanding of the SCSI interface available. Participants learn SCSI with their hands-on the actual equipment used by professionals in the field. The class is structured so that every subject is followed by a lab exercise - which solidifies and reinforces the concepts presented. A complete lab setup, consisting of PC, Protocol Analyzer, Exerciser, Disk Drive Target, and DevSimTM Board, is provided for each team of two students, maximizing actual hands-on time. The lecture and labs have been drawn from decades of cumulative real-world experience, and feature practical scenarios and working algorithms. The course provides the complete SCSI experience, from controlling the bus signal-by-signal, to commanding advanced functions and streaming data at Ultra 160 and, in the near future, Ultra 320 speeds. No prior knowledge of SCSI or interfaces is required.
