3 Day Course
Take the benefits of the KnowledgeTek USB 2.0 lecture course and add a hands-on element and you have the formula for a great learning environment. The lecture material is the same as for the lecture course, but then we add: 1) a host capable of both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0, 2) devices capable of Low Speed, Full Speed and High Speed, 3) a USB 2.0 hub to allow simultaneous activity by the devices, and 4) a USB 2.0 protocol analyzer. The lab project leads you through connecting the hub to the 1.1 host, seeing the action of each device, and then connecting the hub to the 2.0 host and seeing the action at High Speed.
Following an instructor led lab project to familiarize you with the equipment, there are projects designed to show each aspect of USB operation, and finally time for each student to experiment to answer his or her own questions.
