This course provides an introductory overview of SCSI, ATA, Fibre Channel and 1394 interfaces covered in one brief class. More detailed training on interfaces is available in the in-depth courses IDE/ATA, The Nuts & Bolts, SCSI, The Nuts & Bolts, Fibre Channel and 1394 Interface. Interface Basics covers several interfaces at an introductory level. The role of the interface, the different types of interfaces, and the advantages and disadvantages of each type of interface are examined. No previous training on disk drive interfaces is required.
