½ Day Course
Want to know what PRML stands for, but you don't care about D transforms? Want to know what Viterbi Detector does, but you don't need to make one work? This is the class for you. The class condenses the two-day Noise-Predictive PRML Channels for Data Storage class down to a single half day. This format is perfect for the wide range of people who need to know the issues but not the nitty-gritty details: managers, professionals outside the engineering organization at disk drive companies, and computer integrators. Participants should already be familiar with disk drive fundamentals and basic operation. (The Disk Drive Basics class or the Disk Drive Technology class provides more than ample preparation.)
