1 Day Course
KnowledgeTek is pleased to announce a new 1 Day Course - USB 3.0 including UAS. USB 3.0 increases the speed of the ubiquitous USB 2.0 by a factor of 10; to 5 gigabits per second. This course covers the technology necessary to achieve that speed reliably, including new connectors and cables, dual simplex differential pathing, 8b/10b encoding and scrambling, routing through the hubs, new link management and training, new packets, improved error detection and handling. To conform to the huge existing installed base of USB 2.0 hosts, hubs and peripherals, USB 3.0 maintains complete backward compatibility.
USB Attached SCSI (UAS) is the new ANSI Standard for attaching SCSI devices to the USB. It defines the requirements for UAS devices which can be used with all SCSI device types. New features such as queuing and autosense are explained.
